What you'll leave with

  • Check and clean up your Google activity and ad settings
  • Adjust your Facebook and social media privacy settings
  • Understand which browser settings actually protect you

Spotting scams (email, phone, WhatsApp)

Covers the 'Hi Mum' WhatsApp scam, fake HMRC calls, and AI voice fraud. How they work and how to shut them down.

90 minutes

  • Have a clear action plan if you or a family member is scammed

Securing your phone and accounts

The hands-on one. You'll leave having actually set up a password manager and two-step login on your own phone.

90 minutes

What we cover

Passwords & managers

Why your current passwords are probably not safe, and how to fix that tonight with a password manager.

Two-step login (sometimes called 2FA)

Two-step login is a one-time code sent to your phone whenever someone tries to log in. It's the single biggest thing you can do to protect your accounts. We'll show you exactly how to turn it on.

How to verify your bank is really contacting you, and the settings that make your online banking more secure.

  • Enable two-factor authentication on your email and banking
